Exploring El Yunque National Forest

While I was scuba diving in Puerto Rico, my wife lost her AirPod on a tour with friends in El Yunque National Forest. So, being the nature nut I am, I was happy to go looking for it. El Yunque is special because it’s the only rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System.

During our quest for the lost AirPod, we explore nature trails, visit Yokahú Tower, enjoy local Puerto Rican food, and ultimately, embrace the beauty of the Río Mameyes at Puente Roto. Come adventure with us!

Japanese Trains – Local to Shinkansen

Ohayo gozaimasu (おはようございます)! That’s a polite way to say, “Good morning!” in Japanese. Today, I have some more footage from Japan. This time its trains! Wandering Japan’s Wild & Enchanting Coastline

Back in September 2024, my wife and I got the opportunity to visit Japan, which has been on our bucket list for a long time. We visited many places on Honshu (the largest of the Japanese islands), but the Izu Peninsula was definitely among our favorites. We scuba dived there and saw a lot of bizarre sea creatures, but the landscape itself was breathtaking.

200 kilometers (120 miles) south of Tokyo lies an island that’s home to over 100 dolphins. Known as Mikura-jima, this place is nothing short of paradise. Every year between March and October, Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins make their home here, and you can swim with them in the clear, blue waters of the Pacific. But the…

Norfolk, Virginia Day + Night Timelapse

I made this timelapse video in downtown Norfolk, Virginia way back in December 2021. One scene is morning, and the other is evening/night. If you’re not familiar with the area, the river is called the Elizabeth River, and the buildings on the other side of the river are in another city called Portsmouth, Virginia. This…

I’m Tidewater Teddy, and I’ve spent a lot of time above and beneath the sea. In the deep, blue ocean, I’ve seen my share of sea creatures, but of all of them, sharks are my favorite. Over the years, I’ve had some incredible encounters with these toothy fish. Here are my top 5 shark encounters!…
