In the Late Cretaceous, Mosasaurus ruled the seas. It lived from 82 million years ago to the extinction of non-avian dinosaurs 66 million years ago. These marine reptiles grew over 13 meters (43 feet) long, and they had a huge impact on every ecosystem they inhabited.

I made this animation in Unreal to bring them back to life and show them in a more playful light, akin to orcas or sperm whales. About a month ago, I started using Unreal Engine 5, and it has been amazing. Before, I used Blender for animations, but it’s not always very user friendly. Blender is not worse than Unreal, but for my purposes, Unreal has streamlined my workflow. Expect to see more animations in the near future!
